A few months ago Battlefield 1 was around the 19 million mark. As of this quarter, they have officially reached 21 million. Electronic Arts, the publisher of DICE's hit game, is obviously quite pleased with the news and they're expecting those numbers to keep going up. They have been extremely optimistic concerning their new DLC, The Name of the Tsar.

In addition to the hype for the expansion, EA has reported that new content will be brought to the game very soon. We don't know everything, but it's going to be unveiled at Gamescom this August. CEO Andrew Wilson had some things to say about their new plans.

"At Gamescom, we will detail our plans for a new offering that will bring the richest Battlefield 1 experience yet--including the all-out warfare, epic multiplayer battles and War Stories campaign that have defined the game, plus new maps, deeper progression, and additional fan-favorite game modes, all in a single package,"
