Battlefield 1 Community Test Environment is now Available on Console

Public test realms, aka PTR's, are a very important part of video game development. Basically, they allow players to test upcoming content updates before the developer fully releases said content/DLC. This is extremely beneficial for both the developers and the community since many issues can be reported and solved before releasing the content to the live version of the game.

While most PC players are well aware of public test realms, console players don't have the same luxury. Thankfully, DICE has now made the Community Test Environment for Battlefield 1 available on both Xbox One and PS4. You can download it now and test upcoming content like Lupkow Pass and the new Supply Mode before they officially release.

Although this is great news for console players, DICE has made the decision to make the CTE available only to Premium Pass owners. Although this obviously is disappointing, at least it makes the Premium Pass more worth while.
