In case you haven't heard, Battleborn is getting a really big update today. I can't blame you if you didn't know about it. Overwatch has consistently outperformed Battleborn every step of the way. Most of the time, I actually forget that Gearbox made Battleborn at all. But anyway, this is likely good news if you chose incorrectly between Overwatch and Battleborn, because they've made a few changes.
The biggest change come in the form of a brand new hero. If you have the season pass, you'll be able to pick up Beatrix right away. This new character is some kind of insane, mecha-scientist. All of her attacks act like biological warfare, even her support ability. I gotta say, she looks pretty neat. And that's coming from an avid Overwatch player.
Check her out in the video below.
Beatrix isn't the only change to Battleborn. A new DLC mission also joins the fray. The most important change, though, is that the characters in the game no longer need to be unlocked. Instead of jumping through hoops to play the characters you want, they'll all be available from the get go. Instead, those hoops will land you a new skin for the appropriate character.
Don't worry if you've already spent keys to unlock characters already. Any keys spent that way will be given back. Other than that, there's a new training Dojo, a new Draft Mode, and a collection of UI changes. Needless to say, Battleborn just got quite a bit better.
