A very important update is happening tomorrow in the world of Epic Games' Fortnite. While most fans of the game already know about their new Battle Royale game mode, as part of version 1.6.3 of Fortnite it will become a free game mode to all players. The update will also implement a 2 and 4-person team mode for Battle Royale. This keeps true to the theme of the overwhelmingly popular game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, from which the new game mode is inspired by.
That isn't the only thing they changed. Battle Royale will also be receiving the new feature of supply drops. Boxes of cargo will fall from the sky containing much-needed supplies. The player can shoot down the parachute above the supply drop in order to hasten the rate it falls. There will also be three new weapons added to the game mode, a scoped assault rifle, the zapotron, and the tactical submachine gun. A non-offense-oriented addition will also be made. The glider and the umbrella will have a new skin option of "Camo" to flaunt as they descend from the battle bus.
Lastly, there is a number of bug fixes and balancing improvements made to the game to allow for an overall more enjoyable experience both in PVP or PVE.
You can read the full changelog for update 1.6.3 at the Epic Games website.
