Virtual reality is cool and all, but between the extremely high prices of the hardware, to the lack of meaningful titles, it really isn't worth investing in at the moment. The majority of games available for Virtual Reality at the moment are all "experience" based games that show off the cool things VR can do but don't focus on making a quality, content rich game. They're kind of like movies mixed in with video game mechanics. The biggest and most highly anticipated VR game in development right now is Fallout VR, but that's pretty much the only AAA title in the near future.

While it may not be as anticipated as Fallout VR, Batman: Arkham VR is breaking free from its chain of PlayStation exclusivity, and coming to PC via the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Batman: Arkham VR is coming to PC on April 25th, and it's definitely a welcomed addition to the rather stale lineup for VR games on PC. While it is fairly acclaimed, Batman: Arkham VR still follows the same patterns that plague most virtual reality games on the market. It provides a fun experience but lacks any actual meaningful gameplay. There's no brawling/fighting or driving, and like many simulator games, it offers immersion more than anything.

Virtual reality has a certain place in the video game industry in its current state, but it definitely isn't anywhere close to replacing the mouse and keyboard. Developers aren't interested in investing millions of dollars into a product that doesn't have any profit potential compared to PC/Console games. Virtual Reality is still very new, and it will most likely take around 10+ years before it becomes mainstream. That being said, If you want an enjoyable, immersive Batman experience and don't care about in-depth controls/gameplay, then Batman: Arkham VR may be for you. Look for it later this month.
