Batman: Arkham Knight was released earlier this week, and according to reviews and people who have played it, it’s a good addition to the Arkham series, even if the plot itself is rather contrived and/or weak. Well, the exciting feeling of being Batman, sneaking around enemies, and generally being the terror of the night was always the main draw of the series, so while story missteps can be forgiven, as long as the game itself works the way it’s supposed too, it all works out in the end, right?

Well, maybe for console gamers. But for the PC Master race, Batman: Arkham Knight has been plagued by so many bugs, glitches and messes that some people have called it unplayable; and some of those people, it seems, is WB Games—because according to the Warner Brother’s forums, the game going to stop being sold to PC gamers entirely until the developer can fix the plethora of issues that plague the game.

From the post:

“We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.

… If you purchased your copy of the game and are not satisfied with your experience, then we ask for your patience while these issues are resolved. If desired, you can request a refund at help.steampowered.com (Steam refund policies can be found here: https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds) or the retail location where you purchased the game.”

Since made public, the game has been pulled from Steam, and can, indeed, no longer be purchased. And I have to say—wow. I never thought Warner Brothers—or any company, for that matter—would be so responsible. I mean, yes, they were irresponsible when they released a buggy game, but to actually refuse to let people buy it until it’s fixed? That’ll hurt their bottom line, and, in turn, that means it took stones to do. Good job on claiming the moral victory if nothing else, Warner Brothers… now fix the damn game already so people can play!
