Bandai Namco Counts Down with a Microwave and Egg

Or at least we think it is a countdown.

Bandai Namco, a major Japanese game publisher, is teasing players with a microwaved egg.

Earlier today, a new website popped up, one under the sponsorship of Bandai Namco. The site is only one thing, a 1-bit image of a microwave with the prompt "click" on it. When you do as the microwave asks, it begins to cook something. After a short moment or two the doors open to reveal an egg inside. It's at this point the microwave and egg are replaced by the phrase "10 days left." At least, at the time of this writing, anyway.

Bandai Namco publishes a massive list of games in a diverse selection of genres. While their biggest title is the Pacman series, they are also known for Project Cars, Dark Souls, and a slew of JRPGs.

The graphical style initially made me think of the free-to-play game, Let It Die, except that it was published by GungHo Entertainment and not Bandai Namco. It is possible this bizarre egg and microwave teaser is referencing a previous game. It might also be referring to something in a game they will announce in 10 days. It's even possible the thing they are announcing is called "10 Days Left!"

The problem is we simply do not know yet. Hopefully 10 days from now, our questions will be answered.
