Two Soulcalibur veterans were confirmed for the upcoming sixth title at this year's EVO 2018: Astaroth and Seong Mi-na.
The announcement was made before the Tekken 7 Semi-finals at EVO 2018. Being one of the biggest fighting game events of the year, it was a golden opportunity for Bandai Namco to make new reveals for their games. Not long after this, they announced The Walking Dead's Negan for Tekken 7.
Astaroth, named after the Great Duke of Hell in demonology, has been a mainstay character since the very beginning. His massive size and even bigger axe make him a slow but powerful fighter. His range can be deceptively long, as well.
Seong Mi-na had also been around since the original Soul Edge. She was absent from the Soulcalibur 5 roster, however, causing many to fear she had been dropped. Her bladed pole and fluid motion make her a difficult character to approach in the battlefield.
Prior to this, the ever weird Voldo and wind priestess Talim were confirmed for the game. We also learned that the special guest fighter for Soulcalibur 6 will be Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series.
Soulcalibur 6 will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 19.
