Ubisoft recently announced an Assassin's Creed compilation for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 called Assassins Creed: Birth of a New World - The American Saga.
The American Saga will contain Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed III: Liberation all for the price of one game. However, Ubisoft failed to clarify one thing when it initially announced the collection: the PC version won't be coming to North America when the console versions launch on October 3rd.
While no concrete reason was every given, Ubisoft confirmed to GameSpot that only console users will be able to get their hands on The America Saga in North America, but European players will still be able to buy the Windows version.
Assassins Creed: Birth of a New World - The American Saga is likely meant to act as a lead-in to the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Rogue, which will conclude the series' American chapter. As such, all of these games will be relatively detached from the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Unity.
Both Assassin's Creed: Rogue and Assassin's Creed: Unity will be coming out on last-gen and current-gen consoles repsectively on November 11th.
