Finally, some progress is being made on the Assassin's Creed movie idea that has been sitting in stasis for a while. Adam Cooper and Bill Collage have both joined the writing team for the movie, putting their talent to use to try and reach more audiences with the franchise. Speculation states that Michael Fassbender is slated to take the lead role of this movie, chronologically telling the long-standing rivalry between the Templars and the Assassins.

That sounds pretty neat! I am kinda dubious, though, considering most game-to-anything else success ratio is almost nil. Halo is making a TV series, though, so we'll see how that goes! They did make a good pick in both AC and Fassbender, the franchise has a good story potential, and Fassbender is an impeccable actor with chiseled good looks, without a doubt. Let's see them turn it into something, and hopefully enough, it's not vaporware like so many other proposed video game movies and series.

Nothing is finished, everything is hearsay. (Get it?)
