Well, because the creator who is bringing Castlevania to Netflix is also bringing an Assassin's Creed Anime. Let that sink in for a moment. Adi Shankar has already teased his next project, which is an anime series set in the Assassin's Creed universe. The tease was tossed onto his Facebook page:
"I'm happy to let you guys know that I've selected my next project! I played the first edition of Assassin's Creed the year I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream. At that moment I knew absolutely no one in the industry and could never have imagined that one day Ubisoft would ask me to take the world of Assassin's Creed and create an original story set in it as an anime series. If anyone tells you not to follow your passion in life they are wrong."
So yup, it is coming, and it appears to be in early production, so there have been no other details released. But where will it be set? I've been hoping for feudal Japan myself, but I rather that be a game setting if anything.
Actually, let's just hope it's far better than the film we were exposed to last year.
