In an interview with DualShockers, NetherRealm Studio's Art Director Steve Beran talks about a new game mode called Towers of Time, which features game modifiers. The modifier in question is called Tag Team, which allows the player to call on other fighters.
Then there's certain things like you can activate Reptile's Acid Ball. It's very nostalgic. You have these helpers, if you will. It's a blast and we're really happy about that.
This is the first time Reptile is mentioned regarding Mortal Kombat 11. Originating as a special fighter in the second game, he's become one of the most popular Kombat veterans. While his inclusion in the upcoming game would seem like an obvious choice, there was no evidence for it so far. While Beran referencing Reptile's Acid Ball isn't a confirmation that he's in the game, it gives us something to hold on to.
More information, including the total roster, will come in due time. Until then, we wait. Mortal Kombat 11 will release on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch on April 23.
