Prepare yourself for this update of ARMS. The well-received fighting game from Nintendo is receiving new content once again via the Version 3.2 update.
The Big N released a trailer on YouTube showcasing some of the upcoming features that will be added to the base game free of charge sometime next month. Let's break these features down chronologically:
The first addition to ARMS appears to be a new multiplayer game mode. The player stands alone on a stage while a collection of grey helix clones stand around holding targets. The only indication given is "first to 20" at the beginning of the match. Presumably, this will be a high score arena mode featuring indirect battles with friends.
Next, a new stage was revealed. This location is a traditional sparring ring designed, and as such has been titled "Sparring Ring." It is but a simple square-shaped stage, with no other bells or whistles to worry about.
The biggest addition is badges. The player can now earn small round badges for completing certain goals and tasks. These badges can be worn next to your player icon when you play online, allowing for some freedom of expression.
Lastly, we get a sneak peek of a metallic Springman with a glowing red aura. It's unclear whether or not this is a new final boss, new mode, or new character, but more details will surface when it releases next month.
