Arkham Knight's Season Pass Content Detailed by Warner Bros.

But does the content still justify the 40 dollar price tag?

It's not so surprising that DLC passes are climbing in price, but it is definitely baffling to see passes rise to $40 or even $50 (looking at you Call of Duty). Well, earlier in the week it has been announced that Batman: Arkham Knight will offer a $40 Season Pass, meaning that the complete game drains about $100 of your video game funds. Of course and reasonably so, fans have not taken kindly to the announcement. However, Warner Bros. has recently provided details as to why.

On the game's official Facebook page, Warner Bros. announced:

"We've heard from our community that you want more information on what we'll be delivering in the Season Pass. While we aren't ready to unveil every aspect of the content we'll be developing, we would like to share more detail now to give you a better sense of the scope of the Season Pass."

Warner Bros. has since clarified and revealed what the Season Pass will include:

Batgirl: A Matter of Family - The prequel story expansion where you'll be able to play as Batgirl for the first time in the Arkham series.

The Season of Infamy - All new story missions featuring Batman and legendary super-villains that introduce new story arcs, missions, and gameplay features.

Gotham City Stories - Play as Batman's allies in their own narrative-driven storylines, from before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Legendary Batmobiles with Themed Tracks - You'll receive special-themed race tracks and legendary Batmobiles for you to drive with themed to each Batmobile's era.

Crimefighter Challenge Maps - New challenge maps that will utilize the unique play styles of Batman and his allies.

Character Skins - A variety of skins from across the eras for Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman.

So now Arkham Knight is a racing game?

I can see that. Either way, it does seem that the Season Pass is chock full with a lot of content, but the idea of selling the season pass for the price of a new 3DS or Vita game is still skeptical.

Batman: Arkham Knight will release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on June 23rd, 2015.
