Unlike most fighting games, Iron Galaxy’s Killer Instinct reboot hasn’t been keeping itself sustained through periodic updates and expansions—rather, it’s been having ‘seasons’, each one intruding a new suite of balance changes, stages, and of course, new fighters. Given that this is a fighting game, and also given that it’s an Xbox One exclusive, it was only a matter of time before one of these new fighters came from a new universe, as crossovers and fighting games go together like peanut butter and chocolate.

And given that the only real Xbox exclusive series of note is Halo, it shouldn’t be a surprise this crossover will host a character from Microsoft’s hallmark Sci-Fi classic. It’s not as if we were going to get the random douche from Sunset Overdrive.

Well, brace yourselves for the actually surprising part: this new character WON’T be the Master Chief himself. Rather, it’s another badass you meet in your quest to save the galaxy. It’s…

The Arbiter!

I have to say, the trailer seems pretty lame, but he still looks like a fun fighter, and a great addition to the cast—always better than another ‘dude in armor’.

This space-faring badass will come round March 26th, along with his unique stage and a slew of other content, so get ready for that.
