At this point, the fact that The Division has bugs hardly qualifies as 'news' anymore: it's more like an announcement, a conformation of something we already knew would happen. What IS news, however, and never ceases to surprise me every time one of these comes up, is that there are still people playing The Division enough to actually discover them! What's more, according to the latest bug, there are people who are actually in love with The Division enough to actually buy the DLC!
THAT'S news, ladies and gentleman. If you just wanted the surprising part, you can stop reading here. But for the rest of you--yes, as you may have guessed, this latest bug surrounds The Division's most recent DLC add-on, Underground--a mode where you go into the city's metro system and face the most challenging foes yet. Sort of like Metro: Last Light, except... you know, not as good.
Anyway. This particular bug punishes the fools foolish enough to buy the DLC by not allowing them to even play the DLC they just purchased. Specifically, after it's purchased, the content just might not show up on your game. Fortunately, this bug seems to be an easier one to manage, and the Twitter account has confirmed it's already fixed on the PC. All you have to do is reset your Uplay client, and it should be all patched up.
Likewise, there's an easy fix for Xbox One season pass holders: go to the store, try to buy the DLC again, and the game will realize it's done goofed and you'll be able to play the content. Everyone else has to wait a bit for a fix to roll around, but be mindful that you should complete the Secure Quarantine Center side mission before you issue any complaints... it's necessary to unlock the bonus content.
So, another day, another bug. While it's much smaller than most of the bugs that have hit the game, and way more manageable... it's kind of sad we have to call that a virtue at this point, you know? That Ubisoft's latest bug is 'manageable'.
Well, I don't play The Division, so it's no skin off MY back. But for those who do...
