Amnesia: Rebirth is Frictional Games' Next Horror Title

We spoke before about Frictional Games, the studio behind SOMA, teasing a new game. Unless you've forgotten? Introducing Amnesia: Rebirth, a new iteration on the famous horror franchise.



Announced on the Amnesia website, complete with a new trailer, Amnesia: Rebirth follows the struggles of Tasi Trianon as she experiences a strange and difficult journey through the rough sands of Algeria. Just like in past Amnesia games, Tasi has been stricken with amnesia and must retrace the steps of her past to slowly piece together what she knew before. Even if these revelations are workings of pure terror.

"You cant let out a breath. The creature is only inches away. Its sole purpose to feed off your terror. And so you crouch in the dark, trying to stop the fear rising, trying to silence what lies within you."

Earlier this week, Frictional Games teased the existence of this game with a trailer called "I am Tasi." The clip told little of what the game would be. Fortunately, we recognized some similar dialogue choices, leading us to believe it may be a new Amnesia game. We're glad to know we were right (not to brag).

Currently, Amnesia: Rebirth is set for a Fall 2020 release for both PC and PS4. The Steam page for the game is available now for those wanting to wishlist it. More information about the game can be found on the Amnesia: Rebirth website.
