For awhile, we've received quite a few classics from Square Enix on iOS and Android, including Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Dragon Quest I, II, III, IV, V, and VIII. But now, there's another classic treat for Dragon Quest fans: Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation is now available for the iOS and Android! This title features two parallel words, where you must recover the heroes' long-lost memories in part of an effort to unite the two worlds.

It's a one-and-done download, requiring no additional in-app purchases.

As for the story, you can check out the official prologue below:

"A young lad from a secluded village of Weaver's Peak lives a peaceful life with his little sister. But all that is to change when the mountain spirit appears before him, prophesying that only he can save the world from being swallowed by darkness. And so he sets out on a grand adventure to learn the truth of his world, and that of the mysterious phantom realm that lies beneath..."

In DQVI, you recruit a unique band of characters, ranging from wandering warriors to the typical, cliche amnesiac teens to help unravel the mysteries of the world. Additionally and in terms of gameplay, as you progress in the game, the party will gain access to Alltrades Abbey, where you learn to specialize in any of over sixteen vocations, ranging from combat skills to spells. Even if you change vocation after mastery, you can still use the abilities from the previous vocation (similar to Final Fantasy III's/V's/Tactics' job system).

There's also a party chat function that allows you to converse freely with your teammates, whether for advice or just shoot the breeze. Also included in DQVI are 360-Degree Views, AI battles where you can be lazy and let your party think on their own, the return of the casino, where you can waste many hours playing poker and trying your hand at slot machines to earn some cool prizes, the Slimopolis, where you can recruit an army of slimes as you travel the world and pit them in a series of arena battles, and the once Nintendo DS-exclusive Slippin' Slime, a mini-game where you brush the ice in front of your sliding slime to help it overcome obstacles and pitfalls.

You can purchase Dragon Quest VI on the App Store or Google Play Store for only $14.99.
