A YouTube video was uploaded of this world record test, but it was quickly taken down. Although, there is still a Vimeo link that shows the World Record being achieved, as well as a screenshot of the benchmark results. In the screenshot, you can see that the Ryzen 1800X reached a CPU speed of roughly 5.2 GHz, of course only made possible with the help of some liquid nitrogen cooling which brought the temperature down to about -200C.

Of course with great power comes a hefty price, and I guess some responsibility too. The Ryzen 7 comes in three different models, with the 1800X obviously being the most powerful and most expensive. It has a base speed of 3.6GHz and a turbo clock speed of 4.0GHz. The Ryzen 7 1800X will be available for purchase in a few days at $499. Clearly a very expensive processor, but worth it for people who are experienced with overclocking. If you got some money building a hole in your pocket, and you think your PC deserves an upgrade, the Ryzen 7 definitely seems like a great new addition to any gamers arsenal.
