While eBay is busy selling pre-orders of Zelda's Breath of the Wild Master Editions, Amazon is busy cancelling theirs. 1,235 out of 2,900 orders have been lost.

Most customers originally thought it was a supply issue involving theft, but the problem has now been clarified: Amazon was short shipped from Nintendo. So either they oversold, or Nintendo is to blame. Whatever the case, Amazon is now handing out $10 gift cards as compensation to all those affected.

Not all orders have been cancelled, but it is pertinent that you check your email. If you do receive an email and gift card, please note, the amount will be applied to your next eligible order automatically at check-out. No code required.

In the meantime, you might want to check out who else is selling pre-orders! Unfortunately, they might be overpriced at this point.
