After 100 Days, Master Chief Collection Remains Infested with Bugs

Yup, still not fixed after all this time.

Over the past couple of months, I have reported updates on fixes for the Master Chief Collection, giving people hope that the broken game has become more stable.

I sincerely apologize for destroying those hopes.

However, I will not accept the full blame here.

343 Industries has not been on the ball lately, as MCC is continuing to suffer from many bugs despite the number of patches that have been implemented. Granted, the studio has apologized time and time again and has compensated with goodies - such as free Xbox Live Gold and new free DLC in MCC for those that have stuck with the game since the release - but even now bugs still roam and break the game. Quite ridiculous if you ask me.

The game's 100th day landed on February 19th, and the game still hasn't recovered. Issues such as crashes, freezes, poor matchmaking success rates, broken sounds, and long search times continue to plague all titles in the collection. Hilariously enough, 343 Industries has even released an achievement, "Stick With it," with the description, "Play a multiplayer or co-op game at least 3 months after your first game."

Here is where irony comes into play - the achievement is currently bugged, refusing to unlock.

At this rate, by the time the bugs are all flushed out of the collection, Halo 5 will be in the hands of many gamers everywhere. Unfortunately, this could also be a sign that Halo 5 could suffer from a buggy mess.

Let's hope not.

You can check out the full list of patches and updates here.

And if you are really feeling gutsy, you can pick up the Master Chief Collection during the Xbox Store's Ultimate Game Sale for 20% off MSRP (60% for Gold members).
