Activision Survey Hints at Call of Duty MMO

This would be very interesting if it is indeed true. An MMOFPS based within the Call of Duty world. I wonder what era they would put it in. Considering how widely popular and successful COD4 has been, I'd imagine it would deal with "modern warfare". Below is what Activision's Bobby Kotick had to say at the Morgan Stanley Technical Conference concerning a possible MMO;

What would be the natural evolution of a property like Call of Duty into a massively-multiplayer environment and how do you monetize that?

While a Call of Duty MMO may be a long way off, if it ever gets off the ground, it's starting to sound like Activision execs may be giving it serious thought and we'd expect it to be a big focus for the publisher's ad revenue model.


For now, it appears as if gamers will have to fork out the money to get extra maps and other goods.
