Action-RPG Classic Diablo Launches on GOG

Calling all Diablo fans!

Are you a fan of the original Diablo or even the entire Diablo series?

Miss playing it and want to relive the nostalgia?

Then by all means, get ready for some classic goodness on GOG and Battle.net!

That's right, GOG and Blizzard have established a partnership to release an updated version of the original Diablo onto the PC. Released back in 1996, this classic influenced an entire genre and is definitely worth a look.

Diablo features:

• Warrior, Sorcerer, and Rogue jobs
• Online and LAN functionality
• Lots of replayability

Additionally, the GOG, DRM-free version of this title has been updated to be compatible with Windows 10, include high-resolution settings, and feature a variety of bug fixes. However, this is the single-player version with no multiplayer access.

You will have to rely on the "classic" version on Battle.net to access online multiplayer, but unfortunately, there is no resolution-scaling support and frames are limited.



But that's not all. Blizzard is also planning to release updated versions of Warcraft: Orcs and Humans and Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness (my favorite and pretty much the only RTS I have thoroughly enjoyed), via GOG, but as for a release date, there is nothing as of yet.

Is this an act of good graces from Blizzard after all that's been happening? Who knows?
