Just try to envision it. Try.

Even big devs who are working on big franchises have dreams of working on different projects. According to Nintendo Everything, this month's Japanese game magazine Dengeki PlayStation featured interviews from big name creators in celebration of its 600th issue. Something interesting of note relates to Final Fantasy XV's director Hajime Tabata; his response to being asked which company's game would he like to work on as a member of the development force:

"The Legend of Zelda series. I'm not quite sure why myself, but a Zelda game made with the technology and know-how of Final Fantasy XV is the game I wish to create as of this moment."

Trying to envision that has caused my own brain to bleed. Would it come out Final Fantasy-esque or retain the spirit and flavor The Legend of Zelda always had? Would Link drive around in a car? I mean, maybe it's just the technological standpoint Tabata is referring to, but still. It's just interesting to think about.

Just whatever you do, don't expect it.
