Absolver Gets a Release Date and a New Look at Combat

Sloclap's unique martial arts-focused open world multiplayer RPG Absolver has received an official release date, and along with it, they released a detailed breakdown of Absolver's combat system. Absolver will be releasing on August 29th for PC and so far, the developer has no plans for it to migrate to console. 

Absolver is an open world multiplayer game where you are placed behind the mask of a Prospect, a fighter destined to join the ranks of the elite corps called the Absolvers. At the start of your journey in Absolver, you choose between three fighting styles: Forsaken, Windfall, and Kahlt Method. On top of your fighting style, you have a customizable combat deck where you can assign certain attack combinations to specific stances. The combat deck allows players to create unique combinations of attacks in order to prove as unpredictable to opponents as possible. You can also choose a mentor to follow and fight with. Staying loyal to your mentor allows you to learn new combat styles and gain access to their combat deck. Other fighting styles can also be learned throughout your travels.

The video definitely explains it better than I ever could, so I would advise watching it. Absolver is a very ambitious title and if the trailers do any justice to the game, then I think were in for a real treat come this August.
