A New Patch Means More Mess for The Division

Bugs up the... you know.

To be honest, I'm not quite sure what to make of The Division anymore. Once the most promising game to be coming out of Ubisoft's stable of products, it's been decimated by bugs, performance issues, glitches, hacks, and all-around piss-poor management.

Well, bad news: it's gotten worse. A new patch has just been released for the game, Update 1.2, "Conflict", which adds new content for PvE, PvP, raids, and of course, a whole truckload of new, scary bugs.

Some of the bugs are just annoying--people getting kicked out of raids, the game slowing to a crawl, and the new currency in the game, "Intel", is buggy, and when you spend it on missions the missions are oftentimes messed up... if you even unlocked the mission were supposed to purchase at all. But some are downright game breaking--specifically, remember that old character-wiping bug? It's back, and people are reporting characters going missing already.

Ubisoft says it's aware of the issue and is looking to fix it, but if they knew about the issue, why did they release it in the first place?!

It'd be one thing if this was just an issue in The Division: it could be called a symptom of Ubisoft's inexperience working with MMOs. But this has happened in just about every Ubisoft title I can remember, from Watch_Dogs to Assassin's Creed, and it's getting downright worrying. Whoever's working Ubisoft's QA better get their butts in gear, because clearly they're not doing their jobs.

Good thing Overwatch just came out. Looks like you folks have a new refuge.
