A House LAN Party Dream Come True!

Simple and Clean is the name of his game...

We've all had our get-together LAN parties with friends. You know, the ones where you get your rig together, stuff it in your car and hope you didn't miss anything. Get there, find a bunch of make-shift tables (it was a pool table for me, personally), and make yourself comfortable for a night of snacks, screaming at each other, and general shenanigans.

One man, Kenton Varda, took that idea and made it into the most bitchin' house you could possibly imagine. Seriously, TWELVE PC stations that are built right into the wall so it looks neat and clean instead of a mess of tangles, power strips, and sheer rage. Though the setup is pretty awesome, you can only imagine the hellish nature of maintaining all those computers at once (software updates, compatibility issues, all that fun PC stuff). So, to make things a little more simple, Varda gave the server machine a master disk that makes it much easier for all the computers to keep in sync. Users all will still have to have their own Steam accounts/copies of the games they play in order to play it, but that shouldn't be too hard to pull off.

Nice and clean. You can all keep your blood pressure a little lower now.

Well done, Kenton. You did a bang-up job.
