A Hat in Time, an adorable 3D platformer by Gears for Breakfast, released not long ago for Mac and PC. It was extremely well received as a beautiful homage to classics like Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie. Earlier today, the developers released a YouTube video announcing that A Hat in Time will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 exactly one week from today (December 6).

You play a small girl, exploring a number of silly and creative worlds in an effort to gather up fuel for your rocket ship home, using a variety of hats and umbrellas to augment your abilities therein. It even will have local co-op for consoles, and an online co-op for PC. A Hat in Time is a fun and feel-good game perfect for if you grow tired of the dark and gritty of many games currently populating the industry.

A Hat in Time is currently available on Steam for Windows and Mac for $29.99. It will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on December 6 with the same price tag.

I know I'll be getting it.
