It was an exciting time last October when Mossmouth Studios announced that their popular cave-diving roguelike Spelunky would be getting a sequel. Now, we see what gameplay for Spelunky 2 will look like.
Now starring Ana Spelunky, the young daughter of the previous game's protagonist, players delve into the dangerous depths to discover what mysteries lie beneath. Every environment is randomly generated, so no single playthrough will be the same.
In the small span of the video, we see all sorts of new items and features. Lava and water flow differently, there are new types of enemies and hazards, you even appear to be able to ride animals. The game also features local and online co-op play. Players and their friends can select from a variety of new characters.
Spelunky 2 is will be releasing on PlayStation 4 and PC sometime in 2019.
