We didn't see the mash-up coming of Nintendo's Legend of Zelda and Koei Tecmo's "Insert-Anything-Here Warriors," but when it happened, many of us were pleasantly surprised. The artwork, characters, environments, gameplay, and story, unraveled beautifully in the Wii U exclusive Hyrule Warriors, maintaining the full flavor of Zelda while incorporating the traditional elements of Something-Warriors.
The title earned positive scores from critics all over the Internet, and sold much of its shipment. It even helped ignite the life of the Wii U.
So, it shouldn't be a surprise that it would be coming to the 3DS.
But it is. And it has happened, albeit accidentally.
Earlier today, a NeoGAF user, Nibel, spotted a leaked trailer of Hyrule Warriors on Koei's YouTube channel; the trailer was then "unlisted," but has since been taken down.
Talk about a whoops.
The trailer showed a rather updated version of game, alongside two new Wind Waker characters - Tetra and King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule. The trailer also revealed owners of the 3DS version will unlock characters in the Wii U version.
Definitely expect a full reveal next week at E3, folks.
