Could you ever believe that video game consoles could be considered cute? What about miniscule? Well, there is now a way to celebrate your homage to game consoles without showcasing all of your hefty retro and modern consoles in the open. For up to $32, you can purchase miniature versions of game consoles. Artist and 3D model printer, "DoctorOctoroc" offers these video game console models on his Shapeway's page.

The models are roughly 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/2" and are shipped to buyers in white and in pieces. Buyers thus have to rely on their ability to assemble with glue and to paint the models accordingly. If buyers so choose to paint the models the same colors as their originals, "DoctorOctoroc" will provide tips on how to apply the paint and rely on the pictures of the painted models on the shop. The models are amazingly detailed, even down to the controller ports and the detailed name on the actual console.

Currently, the 1:5 scale consoles that are available for purchase are:

- Nintendo Entertainment System
- Nintendo Game Cube
- Nintendo DS
- Super Nintendo
- Nintendo 64
- Sega Genesis (Model 02)
- Nintendo Wii U
- Virtual Boy
- Sega Genesis
- Sega CD (Model 02)
- Nintendo Game Boy Color
- Mattel Intellivision
- Sega Master System
- SegaCD & Genesis Model
- Nintendo Wii
- Sega Saturn
- Coleco Vision
- Sony PlayStation
- Atari 2600
- Sega Dreamcast
- SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color
- Magnavox Odyssey
- Nintendo Game Boy Light
- NEC TurboGrafx 16
- Nintendo Game Boy Advance Micro
- NEC TurboGrafx 16 (With Exp Cover)
- Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP
- Panasonic 3DO
- Nintendo Game Boy Advance
- Atari Jaguar
- Nintendo Game Boy
- Nintendo Super Famicom
- Bandai Wonderswan Color
- Nintendo Famicom (Sans Wires and With Wires)

Seriously, even a 3DO model is available! So many options, all with a ton of charm. This is definitely the perfect gift for anyone who is interested in miniature video game console collecting. Unfortunately, the collection currently doesn't include the Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4. I hope in the future we will see these particular consoles on DoctorOctoroc's designs, but until then, fans can always begin their collection with these detailed little models.
