343 Industries Announces Halo Wars 2 with a Dark, Tense Trailer

Are you a major fan of the RTS Halo Wars, released back in 2009 for the Xbox 360? Well, looks like we have a big surprise for you! Today, 343 Industries has unveiled a beautiful trailer for the upcoming strategy hit Halo Wars 2. Though the trailer is short and lacking actual gameplay, the context is deep, adding on layers of tension. The trailer centers on what appears to be the Red Team, beginning with a wounded spartan (presumedly Douglas) being carried away by his comrades, who appear to be retreating from battle. The spartan takes a shot at what seems to be the enemy, which then cuts to intense action involving the spartans, which cuts to him taking another shot before following with a third shot. However, when he takes the fourth shot, the gun merely clicks--The ammunition is no more. With a dramatic fall of the arm, the spartan falls unconscious... perhaps even dead. The scene then transitions to the chieftain, wielding a massive weapon, who states in an ominous tone, "Yes. Run little demons."
