EA announced today that it is bringing one of the world's most anticipated tournaments to gamers in FIFA 18. 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia will now be playable in a free content update. The new update will add the complete tournament to the game, including authentic teams, kits, badges, Official Match Ball, and the Official Winner's Trophy.

The new update will let players choose from the 32 qualified teams to live out their own World Cup dreams. You will be able to take your team from the group stage all the way to the finals in Moscow. For those whose favorite squad didn't qualify for the real tournament, you can bring in teams, such as the United States and Italy, to write your own story on how you think the tournament should have started. Each of the 12 new pitches will be authentic to the 12 that will be played this summer in Russia and feature the real banners and fanfare that the real stadiums will present. Graphic and broadcast packages will add an immersive authentic feel to your own World Cup experience, this includes cinematic for after the final whistle blows.

Take on your friends in this huge new experience, starting May 29 on all major platforms, and get ready for the first kick off in World Cup Russia on June 14.
