Navid Khonsari has created a game prototype based on the Iranian revolution, titled "1979 Revolution". An Iran newspaper ran by their government has labeled the game as Western propaganda, but the team working on the game are not backing down. Some of Navid Khonsari's team members have been using aliases to protect themselves, as this video game is very controversial and can have serious repercussions.

In hopes of getting the game tablet-ready, Khonsari has launched a Kickstarter campaign, with a goal of $395,000 to fund game production. Khonsari wants to release the game by spring 2014 and already has over 40 backers on Kickstarter.

Khonsari has worked on many big titles, including Grand Theft Auto, Manhunt and Max Payne. He is the owner of game-production company iNKstories, which he created with his wife Vassiliki Khonsari.
