There remains to be a lot of questions about Halo Infinite. But one of the most important questions has been answered: Can you push enemies off of the edge of the Ring?

Yes, you can.

In a first for the franchise, players will be able to push enemies off of the ring. This information came out during a community Q&A session with developer 343 Industries via IGN. One person asked about the new Zeta Halo, specifically if theyll be able to push enemies off of it. Gameplay Director Troy Mashburn was able to confirm that yes, you will be able to. He then explained exactly how Mashburn himself did exactly that when play testing recently.

Mashburn was driving a Scorpion tank when an enemy Wrath appeared. He managed to, unintentionally, push the vehicle over the edge, watching it slowly tilt back and fall off.

So absolutely, you can push things off the edge. Its going to be difficult, but if you manage to time it just right, youre going to see it.

Its been said before that the development team is taking more inspiration from older Halo levels, where the world design was more open and allowed for more than one way to achieve the objective. Theyre also taking more open-world styles to the game, implementing classic concepts like day-night cycles. As time passes, the situations present will also change. Grunts might be asleep at night, etc.

But things come at a cost. They dont have forever to work on this game, and various features will be absent to make time for these new ideas. Lead Sandbox Designer Quinn Delhoyo explained that its due to these constraints that we wont have duel wielding weapons at launch (implying itll be added in an update maybe?)

All in all, its exciting to see the direction that 343 is taking with Halo Infinite. And while its delay is keeping us all waiting, we dont mind waiting a little longer to ensure it meets the vision they had for it.

As excited as we may be, we still refuse to try the Moa Burger Pringles flavor, based on the in-game bird creatures.
