Deus Ex: Mankind Divided gets a new Live-Action Trailer

It's rather... eye opening.

Hey. Hey.

Not to be a bother or anything, but do you remember that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is still a thing? Because Eidos Montreal would certainly like to remind you that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is still a thing. It seems like the last time this game was in the news, it was because people were upset (and rightfully so) about the whole "earn your rewards the more people pre-order the game" deal they had going for a while there. They've since remedied that, but perhaps it would have been better to keep the flames of controversy fanned for a bit longer, because since they caved to fan pressure most folks have just straight-up forgotten it's still happening. Granted, that's easy to understand, a lot of exciting games have come out since then and it's kind of drowning out the hype, but that's why god created trailers, right?

Called "The Mechanical Apartheid", this brand-new live-action trailer hopes to bridge the gap between the first and second game by examining the new barriers being erected around people with cybernetic enhancement.

Check it dawg:

"In 2027, mechanically-augmented people all over the world suffered from extreme psychotic delusions, lost control of themselves, and started attacking people. Millions died. Hundreds of thousands more were injured and maimed.
In the wake of this global catastrophe, society has become divided by hatred, prejudice, and fear, with many countries now enacting harsh laws. The most notable of these laws is the highly controversial “Human Restoration Act”, aimed at isolating “Augs” and keeping them away from “Naturals”."

Pretty neat, huh? While it's been a while since Deus Ex has been in the spotlight, it's got plenty of time to get there again as we approach the August 23rd release date.
