Time to start the year off right. Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone, AKA ConcernedApe, has been peacefully working away at their next title, The Haunted Chocolatier. And with the new year, they have a small bit of new information to share.

Barone recently posted on Twitter, sharing two new screenshots of the upcoming adventure RPG, along with pleasant tidings for the new year.

Happy new year to all! I hope you all have a very positive 2022. Here's a couple of small images from Haunted Chocolatier. There will be plenty more to come this new year!

The images shared, seen above, appear to be screenshots of two buildings within the game. The first is a spooky, unlit house at the edge of a cliff in the winter. The other is a view of a school bus, playfully decorated and converted into a rooftop carrot garden. With such little information about the game available right now, we cant even begin to speculate what these places might be or what purpose they serve. Are they NPC homes? Potential player loot areas? We have no clue. But at the very least, it helps showcase the possible level of diversity that players will be able to encounter in Haunted Chocolatier.

There is one other small bit of info that can be gleaned from this occasion. In the replies, Barone confirms that they have not forgotten about the mobile version of Stardew Valley, specifically regarding the major 1.5 update that the game got not long ago on other platforms. They had no further details regarding that, however.

Haunted Chocolatier will release at some point in the future, stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
