However, a new 4X space strategy game is making its way onto the list. Crispon Games, founded by strategy game veterans Chris King (Crusader Kings II, Europa Universalis IV) and Pontus Åberg, has officially released the full version of Galactic Inheritors for Windows PC. After its evolution, thanks to five months of feedback from the community, the full version features plenty of improvements.
Since Early Access, Galactic Inheritors' UI has been improved to allow players to better manage resources and issue in-game commands more easily. There are also new level art and enhanced profiles for the five playable alien races - Crawlar, Human, Melowar, Ribetars, and Xylenth. The AI has been improved for random events and to provide more realistic responses to aggressive actions from the player. There are also new tools and strategies added to deepen the strategic gameplay. Finally, the strategic title now supports Steam Trading Cards, adding a variety of badges, emoticons, and wallpapers.
The premise of the game is the fight for inheritance. There is only one galaxy, and one inheritor. Players can explore the galaxy filled with over 100 unique solar systems to contest and colonize. Grow your empire and conquer the galaxy with cunning, strategy, and manipulation.
To quote Chris King on Galactic Inheritors:
"When I left Paradox Interactive, I set out to create the game I always dreamed of making. We would sit around, talking about turning certain game ideas into actual games, but some never made it past the idea stage. I deeply felt Galactic Inheritors is a game I needed to make, and make outside the constraints of a bigger studio. I knew I would deeply regret not taking the chance to make it happen, and am thrilled to see Galactic Inheritors in its current iteration as our first title from Crispon Games."
You can purchase Galactic Inheritors on Steam for $17.99, 10% off the base price of $19.99. Below, you can take a peek at the official trailer:
